ANALYSIS: Sam LaPorta should be viewed as a strong start in Week 4 despite his slow start to the 2024 season.
In Week 3, LaPorta managed just two catches for 36 yards, which may seem underwhelming, but he was still involved in the Lions’ offense with a decent target share.
As Detroit looks to integrate him, this week’s matchup against the Seahawks offers an ideal opportunity for a breakout performance. Seattle has historically struggled against tight ends, allowing significant yardage and touchdowns to the position last season, making this a favorable spot for LaPorta to improve on his Week 3 performance.
Lions HC Dan Campbell told reporters that TE Sam LaPorta, who sprained his ankle last week, is expected to play Monday night vs. the Seahawks.
