BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues
OWNED IN: 25% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Arriving to Minnesota via trade on August 31st 2016 after a gruesome knee injury to presumptive starter Teddy Bridgewater, Sam Bradford didn't put up usable fantasy numbers last season. That said, he was quietly one of the most efficient quarterbacks in football, completing 71.6% of his passes for 20 TDs against just 5 interceptions for a 99.3 quarterback rating.
With a home date with the Saints on tap for the season opener, many savvy fantasy owners drafted the signal caller to stream in Week 1, but his performance on Monday night might see him elevated to the top 15 of QB ranks going forward. Bradford completed a ridiculous 27 of 32 passes for 346 yards and 3 TDs, including a pair of scores to a now-healthy Stefon Diggs, and nine balls for 157 yards to Adam Thielen. Bradford has weapons and he knows how to use them. Rookie running back Dalvin Cook also excels in the passing game so there could be many more TD passes in the offing for Bradford in 2017.
Granted, it was against the Saints porous defense, but if Bradford can post a respectable fantasy line at Pittsburgh in Week 2, he'll flirt with QB1 consideration going forward.
