Pistons forward Saddiq Bey is a worthy consideration as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 10 of the NBA season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 42% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Although it took Saddiq Bey a couple of months to get everything right, he's definitely for real, folks. Just look at his Player of the Week award, and you'll start to understand how this guy has been playing of late. Bey has started nine games for the Pistons this season, but four of those have taken place this month and the rookie is playing 27 MPG compared to 18 MPG prior to that.
Bey had a nice start to the season with seven games dropping 10+ points in his first two weeks of pro-ball before getting wildly demoted in role, minutes, and pretty much everything else. Since Feb. 5, though, his luck has changed and that should stay the same going forward with Blake Griffin sitting until a trade comes to fruition before March's deadline.
The improvement on Bey's game has been quite noticeable. He's averaging 15 PPG, 5 RPG, and almost 2 APG in his last seven games while shooting 55% from the floor. On top of that, he's scored at least one triple in eight consecutive games and had a 65% true shooting in five straight through Wednesday. Bey has played above average on a per-minute basis since Feb. 5 even though he's playing more and more minutes by the day. Great target in virtually every league, and must-add in deeper formats.
