BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 1% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Jacksonville Jaguars rookie running back Ryquell Armstead earned his first significant opportunity in an NFL game in Week 4. He carried the ball eight times for 42 yards and caught his only target in the passing game for seven yards. The team's No. 1 running back Leonard Fournette certainly stole the show in Week 4 with his whopping 225 rushing yards on 29 carries, but Armstead established himself as the clear No. 2 on the team and a potentially capable fill-in should anything happen to Fournette.
Armstead, a fifth-round pick out of Temple, had only received one touch this season prior to Week 4, so it was unclear coming into the game whether or not there was an outright No. 2 in Jacksonville. Armstead's workload against the Broncos certainly put that concern to rest.
Fournette owners in deep leagues should certainly prioritize Armstead if they have a bench spot available. Fournette has missed a total of 11 games the past two years. Armstead is also a viable add for non-Fournette owners in leagues of 14 or more teams as the Jaguars proved they can have a dominant run game this week and Armstead could potentially become more involved the run game going forward. In leagues of fewer than 14 teams, you can leave Armstead on waivers unless you have Fournette.
