BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Leagues
ANALYSIS: Ryan Howard is a 6’4” 250 pound behemoth and blasted an average of 52 HR and 143 RBI from 2006-2009. Due to knee issues and his advancing age at 34, those days are far behind him. A year ago, Howard underwent surgery to repair a tear of the left meniscus in his left knee and does appear to be reasonably healthy, which makes you wonder how he's only owned in 69% of Yahoo! leagues. Howard’s production this year carries the negatives of an average below .250 and striking out as much as any player, but his current pace projects to approximately 30 HR and 100 RBI which are not easy to find off the waiver wire. While he's been pretty cold recently (0 HR, 1 RBI over his past 7 games), these types of power numbers can be useful in any format, so if Howard is unowned in a league with a deep bench, he deserves consideration to be on your roster and hit some home runs for your team.
