The Seahawks have picked up the slack after their slow start to the season, winning three of their previous four games prior to Sunday's matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Seattle continued their string of solid performances on Sunday with a 39-30 victory over Pittsburgh, behind huge performances from quarterback Russell Wilson and wide receiver Doug Baldwin.
Russell Wilson had his best game of the season on Sunday, passing for 345 yards, a career-high five touchdowns, and no interceptions on 21-30 passing. While Wilson's ability on the ground always makes him an enticing fantasy play, he has been disappointing this season as a passer, throwing for more than one touchdown on just two occasions prior to Sunday's matchup. He put questions regarding his passing ability to rest on Sunday, and remains a QB1.
Doug Baldwin had a huge day on Sunday as well, hauling in six receptions for 145 yards and three touchdowns. Baldwin's game-breaking 80-yard reception in the fourth quarter helped to ice the game for the Seahawks. Despite his huge performance, it is hard to lock in Baldwin as anything more than a flex/borderline-WR2 in fantasy, as a result of his inconsistency.
Seahawks' tight end Jimmy Graham tore his patellar tendon in Sunday's victory over the Steelers, ending his season in the process. Despite being a top-10 fantasy tight end prior to the injury, he failed to provide the production that many had expected from him at the season's outset. He ends the year with 48 catches for 605 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games.
