BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED: 27% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: And just like that, we're ready to buy back into the Atlanta Falcons offense, right? Following two straight disastrous outings and the firing of head coach Dan Quinn, the Falcons offense came alive in a big way in Week 6, dropping 40 points on the Minnesota Vikings.
Falcons receiver Russell Gage caught all four of his targets for 65 yards in Week 6. He was second on the team in receiving yards behind Julio Jones, who had 137. Gage is the clear No. 3 receiver on the Falcons behind Jones and Calvin Ridley. He won't be breaking as many big plays as his two star teammates, but he should regularly see around five or more targets per game while this offense is clicking, giving him some appeal in PPR leagues.
The Falcons have gotten solid production from Todd Gurley II so far this year, but the team has been a pass-first offense for essentially the entirety of the Matt Ryan era, and that's unlikely to suddenly change this season. Ryan has been right around 40 passing attempts each game this year, except for Week 1, when he threw 54 passes. Expect the team to continue airing it out, giving Gage the potential to be a steady PPR contributor. He's worth adding in all leagues of 14 teams or deeper. He should have a solid game in Week 7 when the Falcons have a favorable matchup against the Detroit Lions.
