Russell Gage is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for wide receivers. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 9 of the 2021 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Gage was merely a shadow in Week 8, not even logging a target despite matching Tajae Sharpe on snaps (36) and routes run (21) without Calvin Ridley. Kyle Pitts remains the leading man while Hayden Hurst mixes in and Atlanta leans on two-RB sets to utilize Cordarrelle Patterson. It means the floor on Gage is...well, this. I do think they’ll learn how to free up Pitts, Patterson, Gage, and the like without Ridley drawing bracket coverage. He has seen a 63% (Week 7) and 68% (Week 8) snap share in recent games, and that number is likely to see a decent uptick for however long Ridley is out. The Falcons throw at the seventh-highest rate in the league as they find themselves playing catch-up quite a bit. Don’t let Gage languish on the wire in deeper leagues.
