NFL Teams Ranked By Most Super Bowl Wins - All 32 Franchises

Bill Belichick - NFL Head Coach New England Patriots
New England Patriots - NFL Logo Stock

New England Patriots - Six Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: XXXVI, XXXVIII, XXXIX, XLIX, LI, LIII

The Patriots were not a dominant franchise for most of its existence, but the arrival of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady in the early 2000s changed everything. Since the turn of the 21st century, the Patriots have appeared in nine Super Bowls and hoisted the Lombardi Trophy six times. This is undoubtedly the best franchise of the century, but the Kansas City Chiefs could have something to say about that soon.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

Pittsburgh Steelers - Six Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

The Steelers won four Super Bowls in the 1970s before a near-30-year drought that ended in 2005 with Ben Roethlisberger and Bill Cower at the helm. Current head coach Mike Tomlin added another ring for the franchise in 2008, but championships have been elusive since.

San Francisco 49ers - Niners NFL Logo Stock

San Francisco 49ers - Five Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: XVI, XIX, XXIII, XXIV, XXIX

The 49ers are one of the most popular franchises in NFL history, thanks to names like Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Deion Sanders. San Fran captured all five of its Super Bowl titles in a 14-year window (1981-1994). The franchise has appeared in the Big Game three times since 2012, but they have fallen short on all three occasions.

DALLAS COWBOYS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

Dallas Cowboys - Five Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: VI, XII, XXVII, XXVIII, XXX

The Dallas Cowboys, also known as “America’s Team,” is still the most popular team in the NFL, and everyone either loves them or hates them. Two Super Bowl titles in the 1970s and three in the 1990s cement Dallas as one of the most successful franchises in league history, but shockingly, Dallas now has the longest active drought without making it to a conference championship game (1995 season).

Kansas City Chiefs - NFL Stock Logo

Kansas City Chiefs - Four Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: IV, LIV, LVII, LVIII

Kansas City won one of the first five Super Bowls but was largely a “middle-of-the-pack” franchise before head coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes arrived. In seven years with Mahomes in the QB1 role, the Chiefs have made it to the AFC title game every season. Now, they will play in their fifth Super Bowl with a chance to win their fourth Lombardi Trophy since 2019. A win would put the franchise up with the elite organizations that have won five total titles.

GREEN BAY PACKERS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

Green Bay Packers - Four Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: I, II, XXXI, XLV

The Packers have four Super Bowl titles, yet it feels like they should have more, right? The franchise has been known for its quarterback stability over the last two decades and change, as Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers combined to start the majority of games from the 1992 season to the 2022 campaign. That’s incredible. Now, Jordan Love is tasked with bringing another championship to Title Town.

NEW YORK GIANTS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

New York Giants - Four Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: XXI, XXV, XLII, XLVI

The Giants won two Super Bowls during the Phil Simms era, though he was injured and did not play in Super Bowl XXV. In the 21st century, the Giants have not been among the most successful regular season teams, but Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning brought two more Lambardis to New York with two improbable Super Bowl runs and wins over Tom Brady in the Big Game.

Denver Broncos - NFL Logo Stock Image

Denver Broncos - Three Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: XXXII, XXXIII, 50

The Broncos were original members of the 1970 NFL following the league merger, and they were once known as a franchise that could not get it done. However, John Elway won two rings in his final two seasons in the NFL, and Peyton Manning captured a title in his final season. Evidently, the Super Bowl recipe in Denver has been a great defense and a quarterback on their last leg.

Las Vegas Raiders - NFL LOGO, STOCK

Las Vegas Raiders - Three Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: XI, XV, XVIII

The Raiders are another historic franchise with a massive following. Unfortunately, Silver and Black fans have not been treated to a Super Bowl title since the 1984 season. The Raiders have arguably been one of the worst franchises since 2000, but with Tom Brady and Pete Carroll on their side moving forward, anything is possible.

Washington Commanders - NFL Logo Stock

Washington Commanders - Three Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: XVII, XXII, XXVI

Washington has not won a Super Bowl since the days that Joe Gibbs strolled the sidelines in the 1980s and 1990s. However, they got “oh so close” in 2024 as rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels took the franchise to its first NFC Championship Game since 1991. The future is bright in our Nation’s Capital.

LOS ANGELES RAMS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

Los Angeles Rams - Two Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: XXXIV, LVI

The Rams have been around for a long time, but the franchise’s best seasons have all come in the last 25 years. L.A. won the first Super Bowl of the 21st century in January of 2000 with the “Greatest Show On Turf” lighting up the league. Then, in the 2021 season, head coach Sean McVay and quarterback Matthew Stafford delivered offensive fireworks of their own in the run to a Super Bowl title.

MIAMI DOLPHINS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

Miami Dolphins - Two Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: VII, VIII

Sure, it’s been a while since the Dolphins have been legitimate Super Bowl contenders, but this is the only franchise that can say they had a completely undefeated season capped off by a Super Bowl win. That counts for something.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

Indianapolis Colts - Two Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: V, XLI

The Baltimore Colts, led by Johnny Unitas, captured the fifth-ever Super Bowl title. Years later, Peyton Manning finally hoisted the Lombardi trophy in the 2007 postseason. This is another franchise that should have more titles, given Manning’s decade-plus long run of MVS-caliber quarterback play.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Two Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: XXXVII, LV

Head coach John Gruden won Super Bowl XXXVII with a defensive-minded team featuring Hall-of-Famers Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks, Ronde Barber, and John Lynch. Quarterback Brad Johnson is viewed as one of the “worst” signal-callers to ever win a Super Bowl, but a title is a title. In 2020, Tom Brady led the Bucs to a Super Bowl in his first year with the franchise.

Baltimore Ravens - NFL, TEAM LOGO, STOCK

Baltimore Ravens - Two Super Bowls

Super Bowls Won: XXXV, XLVII

Speaking of mediocre quarterbacks winning Super Bowls behind elite defenses, look no further than the Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl XXXV win. And then, in 2012, Baltimore captured another title with a quarterback who wasn’t a household name, but Joe Flacco did deliver one of the greatest postseason runs for a quarterback in NFL history.

Philadelphia Eagles - NFL, TEAM LOGO, STOCK

Philadelphia Eagles - One Super Bowl

Super Bowl Won: LII

Philadelphia knocked on the door of a Super Bowl under head coach Andy Reid multiple times, but they never got the job done. And then, out of nowhere, Doug Pederson and Nick Foles brought a title to Philly. This will go down as one of the most surprising Super Bowl runs ever.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

Seattle Seahawks - One Super Bowl

Super Bowl Won: XLVIII

The Seahawks are another franchise that won a Super Bowl on the backs of an elite defense. The “Legion of Boom” stop unit held Peyton Manning’s record-setting Broncos’ offense to just eight points in Super Bowl XLVIII and put the game away by halftime.

Chicago Bears - NFL Stock Logo

Chicago Bears - One Super Bowl

Super Bowl Won: XX

We’re still talking about elite defenses here because the 1985 Chicago Bears are widely regarded as having the best defense of all time. Led by linebacker Mike Singletary, Chicago averaged four sacks, two interceptions, and 1.5 forced fumbles per game and allowed fewer than 13 points per game.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

New Orleans Saints - One Super Bowl

Super Bowl Won: XLIV

Just a few seasons before Drew Brees and the Saints won Super Bowl XLIV, Brees did not appear to be a sure-fire future Hall-of-Famer. However, defeating Peyton Manning and the Colts on the game’s biggest stage propelled him into elite status and cemented him and Sean Payton as New Orleans sports legends for eternity.

NEW YORK JETS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

New York Jets - One Super Bowl

Super Bowl Won: III

It’s been a while since Jets fans were on cloud nine, as New York has not even appeared in a Super Bowl since the 1969 Super Bowl III championship. Joe Namath remains the only Jets’ quarterback to ever each 4,000 passing yards in a season, and that needs to change quickly if the franchise wants to get back to the NFL’s biggest stage.

NFL Logo - NFL Stock, RotoBaller NFL
