BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 4% of Yahoo! leagues
ANALYSIS: Tellez has continued to heat up at the plate, raising his slash line up to a respectable .250/.319/.512 with 13 runs scored, six home runs and 17 RBI. He has absolutely crushed the ball, boasting a 92.3 mph exit velocity and a 48.2% hard hit rate, which rank in the 90th and 85th percentile in the league, respectively.
Yes, his 30.9% strikeout rate is concerning, but Tellez has also more than doubled his walk rate from his brief cameo last year, and is now walking at a nice 7.4% pace.
So we are looking at a big power hitter who is crushing the ball, drawing more walks and hitting in the middle of a batting order that now boasts Vladimir Guerrero Jr. I like what I've seen out of Tellez so far, and see no reason why he can't reach the 25 home run, 80 RBI marker. In 14+ team leagues, that kind of production is absolutely worth owning. He's on the border of being rosterable in 12-teamers, and could be a good injury replacement if needed.
