We made it to the weekend and they haven't kicked me out yet! The entire experience has been incredible and I call it a win for anyone in DFS or Gambling Content. Yesterday I spent a good bit of the afternoon in the player post-round interview area and was able to get some useful insight that I think can help us make some decisions for Round 3.
Round 2 was completed early this morning. They will announce the official cut and release tee times for those who made the weekend momentarily. That said, the majority books have posted Round 3 Matchups and I have found a few that I like for Saturday at THE PLAYERS!

Denny McCarthy +100 vs. Alex Noren -120
It's Denny Saturday! It has historically been his best day of the week. It's possible that something about getting through the cutline in a tournament with the biggest purse of the year could free him up this week! He has been working diligently with his coach on straightening out the Driver and showed signs of improvement yesterday where he hit 8 of 14 fairways. To put that into perspective, on Day 1 he only hit 5 fairways.
He seems quite comfortable on the greens at TPC Sawgrass and his speed on putts is perfect. He needs to play from the fairway to give himself looks and opportunities, and I feel like that is headed in the right direction. Noren has been pretty solid and well rounded but I feel like we could see a low round for McCarthy today.
Pick: McCarthy +100
Hideki Matsuyama -120 vs. Jason Day +100
Hideki Matsuyama started his week +2 over par through his first three holes. Since, he has played TPC Sawgrass -8 under par and really flipped the switch with his ballstriking. In round 2, he was 2nd in the entire field in strokes gained Off The Tee and shot 69 despite losing nearly 2 strokes putting on the day.
Jason Day was firing on all cylinders and looked to be right in the heart of competing for the lead when his round fell apart late on Friday afternoon. He failed to birdie either par-5 on his back 9 and he rinsed his ball in the water on the famous 17th hole in route to making double bogey. Closing out in the fashion he did could have rattled his confidence a bit, whereas Matsuyama seems primed for the weekend ahead.
Pick: Matsuyama -120
No more LIVE adds on the card for me this week, I am happy with my positions on Clark from yesterday and willing to hold on for dear life at TPC Sawgrass. Best of luck friends!
That's the card for Saturday! Let's have a day, RotoBaller family!
