One and Done Selections - Open Championship
In this feature, our golf staff of Joe Nicely, Spencer Aguiar, Andrew Putters, Owen Vrabel, Matt Miller and Josh Bennett will provide their weekly golf picks every Wednesday. The purpose of this article is to present you with alternative options to consider and hopefully make your selection a much easier process weekly. With that plan in mind, let's get started!
Joe Nicely - Matthew Fitzpatrick

Can Matt Freakin’ Fitzpatrick win back-to-back major championships? Call me crazy, but I think it is well within the realm of possibility. Fitzy has been ballin’ out all year, form that culminated with a breakthrough victory at Brookline. He knocked the rust off with a neat and tidy T6 in last week’s Scottish Open and now the Englishman heads to a classical links layout in the Old Course that he’s well suited for.

Spencer Aguiar - Tommy Fleetwood

Maybe this comes from me trying not to have 100% exposure to Dustin Johnson, but it is the last big event of the season if I want to make up this nearly three million dollar deficit. To do that, I am going to have to come up with someone outside of the box, and Fleetwood seems to fit that narrative in OAD contests to a T.
It is worth noting that Fleetwood is a slight favorite over DJ in head-to-head matchups this week, so I will be looking to diversify my portfolio and gaining some much-needed exposure to the Englishman, who I do have my biggest bet on this week to beat Tyrrell Hatton in a matchup.
*** Part of the reason I took Fleetwood over DJ is because of the potential for a weather bias. Morning wave on Thursday might have an edge for any close calls.
