What Are We Looking For?
- We are looking for experienced, or inexperienced, writers who have an enormous passion and addiction for baseball and fantasy baseball.
- Knowledge of Sabermetrics (advanced stats), confidence to use them in your writing, and the ability to explain them simply, is a must.
- We are looking for you to contribute a weekly column, on a set schedule, and occasionally some other assignments
Is This A Paid Position?
Not at first, but you could be eligible to join RotoBaller's Revenue Share Program if your writing meets our standards for quality and you meet your deadlines regularly. Our revenue share program aligns our site's growth with writer revenue. The bigger our site gets, and the more people read your articles, the greater the potential revenue.
Writing for RotoBaller can also lead to other opportunities elsewhere on the interwebs, in papers or other print publications, and even in major league baseball. If you are a good writer, someone may find you!
I'm Interested! Now What?
Time for your writing sample! Write 500 words on anything Fantasy Baseball related. Know the best sleeper or waiver wire pickup? Think a player is being way overrated and the bottom is about to fall out? Think a slow starter is going to have a horrible year? Tell us! These are all good subjects for your writing sample. Using advanced stats to make your case is highly encouraged! Send it to [email protected] when you're done and please include a few sentences on why you want to write for RotoBaller.
If you've recently written some fantasy analysis that is along the lines of our requested writing sample, you can send that instead.
We will review every writing sample sent to us - we may even post it on RotoBaller if we love it!
