A Recap of Our Daily League Picks from Week 11
QB (Strong) - Philip Rivers $7,900 - Going up against the 20th-ranked Miami Dolphins defense in Week 11, you have to think that Philip The Great will have a good chance of going bonkers and racking up some serious Fanduel points. Rivers has averaged 18.68 points per game over his past six outings and there seems to be no end in sight to the trigger-happy pass offense that the Chargers are running thus far in 2013. After a lackluster week against Denver in Week 10, the San Diego Chargers will be looking to make an impact statement and we fully expect 40+ pass attempts from the former first-round pick. Get this fairly priced stud into your lineup for Week 11 and thank us later!
Result: 298 Yards, 1 TD - HIT
QB (Value) - Ben Roethlisberger $7,300 - Making his first appearance in this season's Fanduel Expert Picks newsletter is none other than Pittsburgh's franchise man. Let's stick with two very stout and proven NFL veterans (with great matchups) for this week and recommend Big Ben for your Fanduel lineup. Facing the very mediocre Detroit Lions' secondary in Week 11, Pittsburgh's maligned pocket passer has been quietly putting up very nice fantasy numbers this season (averaging a steady 15.4 points per week), and we think that the pass-heavy approach to Detroit's offense will create a classic shootout in the Steel City. Projected as a top-10 performer for this week but priced like a #2 option, there is a ton of room for a huge return on investment. The stability you get from the quarterback position is a very important factor in maintaining your ability to build up your stack week to week. If you are trying to get cute and use an E.J. Manuel or a Geno Smith, you are surely looking to get burned with poor matchup plays and severe inconstancy. Trust us on this one-- this is the week for the two-time Super Bowl winner to get some of his swagger back.
Result: 367 yards, 4 TD - BULLSEYE
RB (Strong) - Andre Brown $6,500 - By Week 11 of the 2013 fantasy football season, it’s pretty clear that we need to find the undervalued players each and every week if we want to be competitive in weekly league tournaments or heads-up games on Fanduel. If Andre Brown had been actively putting in work all season long for the G-Men, there is no way he'd be valued this cheaply, so we'd better use this second opportunity in a row (against a putrid opposing defense) to make some fantasy football spending money! Let’s get this straight: when “Week 11″ and “running backs” come up in the same sentence, we are also required to associate Andre Brown with that trifecta after the monster return to action he showed in Week 10. Since he was able to put up a healthy 18.4 fantasy points against Oakland’s nightmarish defense, we think he can provide at least 14-15 points for those fantasy owners who are shrewd enough to get Big Blue’s #1 running back into their lineup for Week 11 of Fanduel action.
Result: 93 total yards (66 rushing, 3 catches for 27 yards) - HIT
RB (Value) - Rashad Jennings $5,800 - For only $5,800 in Week 11, you can sign up for the Rashad Jennings experience and go along for the most bland and mechanical ride of your fantasy football career. Left as the last offensive option standing for the Oakland Raiders with Run (Hurt) DMC still sidelined, and now with news that Terrelle Pryor will not be active for Sunday's game, there is a very high-end chance that this former Jaguars great will be in for a heavy workload and a bunch of touches. Over the past two games, the slightly oversized and rather slow-footed Jennings has managed to reward and impress fantasy owners with a 19.4 points-per-game output, and that is enough to make you take notice when analyzing the week's best potential matchups. Net, net, bottom line: this is the guy you want to target for Week 11 Fanduel action if you are balling out and splurging huge amounts of your budget on your quarterback or #1 wide receiver.
Result: 150 rushing yards, 1 TD - BULLSEYE
WR (Strong) - Vincent Jackson $7,100 - Facing the team that he torched for 10 receptions, 138 receiving yards and two touchdowns just a few short weeks ago on the road, Vincent Jackson is looking to make up for the fact that he defecated the bed for the past two weeks against a tough Seattle secondary and very pedestrian Dolphins defense. The good news is that Atlanta's secondary can barely stop a nosebleed and is ranked worst in the NFL at defending pretty much anything! With a very good chance to rebound, we think you can easily get away with using him as your #1 or even #2 wide receiver option because the next two picks that we recommend are going to be sure-shot complements to this former Chargers great for your Week 11 Fanduel lineup.
Result: 10 receptions, 150 yards, 1 TD - BULLSEYE
WR (Value) - Victor Cruz $6,600 - This has not been the ideal fantasy football season for Victor Cruz or Eli Manning (or anyone else on the Giants offense for all intents and purposes), but this man did not earn the nickname "Dominican Dynamite" for no reason! With the ability to go bonkers any given week and give fantasy owners a ton to smile about, we are very confident that the must-win Giants will be pass heavy against the Packers 28th-ranked defensive unit. This should lead to plenty of targets for Eli Manning's favorite safety net and big-play guy. The last time these teams faced off during the 2012 season, Hakeem Nicks was the featured guy and Cruz still racked up a healthy five catches for 74 yards (12.4 fantasy points), so it's safe to safe that defending the pass is simply not the Packers’ historical strong suit. Get this man into your lineup this week and don't be shocked if he puts up a healthy 15 spot to reward you choosing him for your squad
Result: 8 receptions, 110 yards - HIT
BONUS PICK - WR (Value) - Golden Tate $5,300 - This man not only is the most under-the-radar WR1 in all of football, but he also might have the best porn name of any player in the league! Regardless of the latter, this man is primed to go absolutely bonkers against the Vikings 31st-ranked defensive unit that allows 301 receiving yards per game to their opposition! That is absolutely, ridiculously bad, and it's the main reason we are begging you to consider Russell Wilson's favorite target. Averaging 14.38 fantasy points per contest over his last four games, Minnesota's defense has a way better chance of increasing that average than lowering it, so we fully expect you to see this tremendous value and pounce all over it like a starved tiger with a rabbit crossing it's path!
Results: 1 reception, 26 yards - Miss
