BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 51% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: If you target waiver-wire players only basing those decisions on their most-recent outing, then you're going to find it hard to make sense of this post. That is, obviously, because Rondale Moore comes off his second-worst game of the season and one in which he only got targeted a couple of times, let alone reaching even five fantasy points last TNF hosting New Orleans.
You read that right. Moore went a measly one-of-two on passes hauled in and the only thing saving him was the 31 yards he got to cover after catching that ball. Other than that, not much more to call home about Moore this week. Or actually, something very interesting to do so.
The Cardinals recently lost Marquise Brown for more than a month (initial reports talked about a four-to-six weeks recovery period) so that's a hole to fill. Enter DeAndre Hopkins, who returned last TNF and put up the type of performance you'd have expected as the go-to receiving on the Cards' offense.
Even though Arizona traded for Robbie Anderson to fill all of the pass-catching gaps, Anderson just had a 12-snap (18% of all snaps played by the Cardinals), one-target debut in which he didn't catch that single look. Moore, of course, sucked his way through TNF too getting just two targets but appearing in 58 individual snaps (89% share).
Of course, Hopkins will keep getting QB Kyler Murray's first looks and the largest volume of passes. That said, Moore has been on the field for at least an 86% snap share in all last four games played by 'Zona, so the targets will undoubtedly go his way and regress to his mean: 5, 8, and lastly 10 before last week's two of them.
Don't go chasing Moore too crazily, but surely consider him for the WR3/Flex starting slot in deeper leagues with upside for a little more.
