The 2024 NFL Draft class had several elite wide receiver prospects. Seven wide receivers were drafted in the first round, with Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers being the first two off the board.
While they will be the first two rookie wide receivers drafted in redraft leagues this year, Rome Odunze and Xavier Worthy are likely the next two selected. Both rookies landed in crowded wide receiver units. Yet, they are extremely talented players who should make an immediate impact.
However, which rookie wide receiver should fantasy players select in redraft leagues this season? Let’s dive into it.

Rome Odunze 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
Odunze had an outstanding college career at Washington, totaling over 3,200 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns in four years. He was arguably the top wide receiver in college football in 2023, with 92 receptions for 1,640 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns as Michael Penix Jr.’s go-to guy.
Unfortunately, Odunze didn’t land with a team where he would be the No. 1 wide receiver as a rookie. Instead, the former Husky was drafted by the Chicago Bears, making him the No. 3 wide receiver behind DJ Moore and Keenan Allen. However, the rookie might be the best No. 3 receiver in the NFL.

Xavier Worthy 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
Worthy became a first-round NFL Draft pick lock after he broke the NFL Combine record with a 4.21 40-yard dash. However, the former Longhorn star is more than just a fast receiver. He had an outstanding college career, totaling 197 receptions for 2,755 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns.
The explosive receiver was a popular pick in dynasty rookie drafts after getting selected by the Kansas City Chiefs. Unfortunately, Worthy suffered a hamstring injury during mini-camp but should be ready for the start of training camp next month. The rookie could quickly turn into Patrick Mahomes’ top wide receiver.
#Chiefs HC Andy Reid on whether Xavier Worthy (hamstring) will be ready to go for the beginning of training camp:
“Yeah, he should be able to… He’ll get treatment and we’ll just see how he rehabs through that.”

Who Should I Draft?
Fantasy players should draft both wide receivers in the double-digit rounds this year. Both rookies are talented players and could have immediate fantasy value. However, I would draft Worthy over Odunze. He has a significantly easier path to the No. 1 wide receiver role. Furthermore, he has a far superior quarterback, giving him more upside.
