BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 58% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: If you’re in deeper leagues you could do a lot worse than Roddy White. He is starting to work back into the Falcons’ receiving rotation, though he is still only averaging four targets per game, and it doesn’t seem like that number should change anytime soon. Leonard Hankerson will return to action shortly and Julio Jones will always be a target monster when he’s on the field. The emergence of Devonta Freeman has also changed how the Falcons’ offense has had to operate. They finally have a strong running back that they can rely on, which changes how much they need from their passing game and Matt Ryan.
The Falcons get to tee off against the pourous Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defense in Week 8, and then get a matchup against a rather soft San Francisco 49ers’ defense in Week 9 before their bye week in Week 10. While Roddy White is probably past his days of putting up 100 yard games or finding the end zone multiple times in a week, those of you in deep leagues are going to want to enlist the services of a veteran receiver who has two great matchups on deck. He is still far more name than actual production, as his 58% ownership tag doesn’t correlate well with his actual statistics, but he has bounced back from the days of Week 2 and 3 where he was wearing an invisibility cloak, and owners would do well to recognize this.
