BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 12% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: He teased his retirement. He laughed at the idea of having Baker Mayfield as his quarterback. He did all of that, then probably some more, scared the hell out of all fantasy GMs, and when Week 1 arrived all Robbie Anderson did was have one of the best performances of the first slate of games. Uh, oh, flex on them all.
Anderson, the ridiculed-but-still-number-one receiver of the Carolina Panthers went on to have a masterful Sunday finishing with 21.2 PPR points to the tune of a five-reception, eight-target, 102-yard, one-touchdown outing that saw him finish inside the top-12 realm among wideouts (pending MNF).
The Panthers' receiver could have caught more passes. He could have gotten targeted more than eight times. But it's hardly possible that he could have made more out of his five touches as Robbie's 102 yards were the most (by far) among WR with five-or-fewer receptions. Let alone adding a touchdown to that hyper-efficient performance.
Anderson's 12% rostership is laughable and really hard to believe. Honestly. The Panthers, even though they feature a quarterback that is wrongly (for the bad) perceived by most fantasy GMs, must play the ball on a snap-by-snap basis. And you know what? Other than CMC (still limited, mind you), there are not many weapons on that offense more capable of helping the team than Robbie Anderson is.
You won't find many WR1 so widely available and with so much upside as Anderson boasts. Must-have in all leagues if only to deploy as a FLEX play.
