RIVAL Over/Under Picks
You can wait until you know the status of every player tonight, but no Giannis Antetokounmpo puts Jrue Holiday at the forefront. No Ja Morant gives Desmond Bane the ultimate green-light and then there’s the Timberwolves…
Jamal Murray OVER 35.98 fantasy points
Nikola Jokic is always going to be the most important threat to handle first when playing the Nuggets, but that doesn’t mean Jamal Murray needs a ton of space to be effective.
Even though Jokic will be productive, Murray acts as the Nuggets only backcourt option and he’s going to carry the workload each night with Jokic seeing consistent double-teams.
Scraping at a triple-double Game 1 is extremely promising seeing how the game wasn’t close and Murray didn’t technically play a full workload.
Karl-Anthony Towns UNDER 37.1 fantasy points
The Timberwolves are up a creek without a paddle. Playing away as a young team is tough, but they wouldn’t have been the first underdog to win on the road this season.
Karl-Anthony Towns has no choice but to focus on defense and it’s been a struggle watching that be his main source of production.
Until we see real improvement on that end, in matchups where Towns needs to play excessive defense, his stat-line is going to take a serious hit.
D'Angelo Russell UNDER 30.76 fantasy points
Anthony Davis will always be injury-prone and the Lakers aren’t going to sit around and wait for it to happen.
Scoring 19 points on 17 shots isn’t great efficiency, but that many shot attempts is still ideal.
D’Angelo Russell isn’t splitting time with Dennis Schroder, but as the primary point guard he’s posting relative stats.
Mike Conley UNDER 26.68 fantasy points
Mike Conley hitting this over is way too dependent on too many things going right.
No way is Conley going to try and lose this playoff game, but we can’t expect a 35-year old to keep up with and out-produce the 26-year old Jamal Murray.
The stats he was posting right before playoffs started were impressive, but now that it’s the real deal Conley is forced into playing more defense and won’t have the chance to have huge nights.
