RIVAL Over/Under Picks
There aren’t going to be any sweeps this round of the playoffs and it’s looking like every series is going to last seven games. That should balance out the conference championships so no team has excess rest and we should continue to get high-quality competitive basketball through the Finals.
Andrew Wiggins OVER 30.83 fantasy points
While the rest of the Warriors deal with Anthony Davis, Andrew Wiggins has been secretly putting together fairly complete stat lines despite losing.
He’s improved his output every game and even though Golden State got smacked out of Game 3, Wiggins still found a groove and ways to produce throughout. He’s doing a lot of his work through rebounding and he’s taking more threes that’s surprisingly working out.
Wiggins should have a green light from the Warriors since they’ll need all the help they can get to combat the Lakers assault and assuming less Warrior turnovers in Game 4 should lead to more efficient offensive possessions.
Max Strus OVER 16.04 fantasy points
Max Strus has been one of the better players in this series and it’s through sheer impact and hustle plays. He’s also hitting shots to the point where the Knicks need to designate a player just to keep him from getting open and that’s been his bread-and-butter all season.
Don’t let the 11 points-per-game average fool you, Strus put up massive numbers randomly throughout the season and showcased a tendency to develop a hot-hand that was hard to cool-off.
Now that it’s the playoffs, the Heat have no reason to reign back Strus like they did in the regular season and he should continue to thrive in his role as high-energy wing-defender that has a knack for knocking down shots and getting to the paint on a whim. New York is slowly realizing this.
Stephen Curry OVER 48.55 fantasy points
Two good things about Stephen Curry not having a 30-point game yet this series is that it’s absolutely coming and he’s been posting enough peripheral stats to help push him over his projected line when he does increase his scoring production.
It’s been underwhelming so far through three games although that’s not entirely uncharacteristic for him to do in the playoffs. That being said, it’s hard not to give a reigning-MVP the benefit of the doubt that he will figure it out sooner rather than later.
The closer Golden State gets to being knocked out, the more potential Curry has to just chuck-up shots and along with Klay Thompson, they rightfully should, starting tonight.
Draymond Green UNDER 31.45 fantasy points
The only chance Draymond Green has of hitting potential overs is when the rest of the Warriors play well. Green won’t be doing most of the shooting, but as their second-best playmaker he’s still going to rack up assists and likely force the issue at the rim to help the spacing.
It will be hard for Green to find a rhythm if he’s guarding Anthony Davis and since he’s not the strongest scorer anyway, there isn’t a ton of upside here.
The last time Green hit his over, the rest of the Warriors paved the way and he still had to score double-digit points, something he’s only done in three of his nine playoff games this season.
