RIVAL Over/Under Picks
Everyone knows where these two series are headed and with the Lakers facing elimination tonight, expect desperation.
Rui Hachimura OVER 23.59 fantasy points
There are few things going right with the Lakers right now, but Rui Hachimura forcing his way into the spotlight of this series has at least been a bright spot.
If he’s going to continue to take upwards of 10 shots a night then we have to like the upside given his ability to grab offensive rebounds and produce outside of just points.
The Lakers are one game away from being sent home and you can expect that each and every bench player is going to make more than the most of their minutes.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope OVER 20.21 fantasy points
There was a slight trend of role players filling a void left by superstars in Game 3 of both series and Game 4 between the Nuggets and Lakers shouldn’t be much different.
Los Angeles is scrambling to find anything to limit Jamal Murray and they are coming up empty. It’s allowed players like Kentavious Caldwell-Pope a ton of open looks and it’s giving Nikola Jokic the freedom he needs to keep producing without doing too much.
17 points on four made three-pointers is above his normal means of production, but the eye-test supports a repeat performance since all KCP did was stand in the corner on offense and play defense.
Bruce Brown OVER 24.77 fantasy points
Similar to Caldwell-Pope, Bruce Brown has benefitted from the Lakers being wholly distracted by Murray and Jokic to the point where Bruce Brown, literally, has multiple free runs at the hoop each game.
Assuming that Murray continues his dismantling of this entire roster, another huge game isn’t enough to win outright and it isn’t enough to keep other guards from eventually taking shots.
So regardless of what happens with Murray, a big-game from either Nuggets superstar usually provides a boost for teammates in the end.
Lonnie Walker IV OVER 11.21 fantasy points
The Lakers lone X-factor Lonnie Walker will get the minutes, he just needs to convert. It’s tough to go from cold on the bench to hitting threes but he’s done it once already these playoffs and you can assume he won’t be the only Laker acting selfishly tonight.
Game 3 was his best game, scoring nine points on five shots, but it’s not exactly reassuring from a betting standpoint.
We will have to play into the fate of the Lakers and assume that Walker won’t just get a boost from playing in an elimination game, but he could see some garbage time minutes as well.
