Happy Wednesday, RotoBallers, and welcome back to our new series covering RIVAL Fantasy Bingo picks for the NBA season! We will be covering how to play and the strategies to win.
Fantasy Bingo is a spin on the classic game Bingo but the goal is to match achievements, not numbers. You will build a DFS lineup for the weekly games to unlock the achievements and fill in those squares. You can win by getting five in a row, all four corners, or an entire card blackout.
The prize pool for the weekly slate is distributed among all of the winning cards. They are broken down in two ways. 56% of the prize pool to cards that have five in a row -- vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. 44% of the prize pool is for cards that just cover the four corners. Also, the prize pool gets larger as more bingo cards are entered. You can have up to 100 max cards all with different lineups created. Check here for the updated rules and scoring.

RIVAL Fantasy Bingo Strategy
When it comes to Fantasy Bingo and the NBA, the strategy will be different than the NFL strategy. Stacking would go out the window unless the slate is two to three games. Targeting high usage players though is the same. Players who can fill multiple categories on the stat sheet like Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Ben Simmons (surprisingly). On top of that, if players are averaging double-doubles or triple-doubles at a good rate, you'll want to get a piece of that pie as the Bingo Cards may call for it.
Targeting defensive players who are logging more than two blocks or steals per game will be needed also. Those appear at a consistent rate on the Bingo Cards. Players like Chet Holmgren, Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Davis, and Joel Embiid excel at blocks and are averaging more than two per game. For steals, players like Marcus Smart, Donovan Mitchell, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are already recording 2.5 steals per game.
Filling every single category of the stat sheet will be needed as you construct your lineups. Spreading it out between key offensive and defensive players as there is no salary cap for you to be restricted by. Look for games with high totals, teams that play at a fast pace, and players that may get boosts from teammates ruled out due to injuries. You can make your lineups throughout the night but waiting for injury news to rule in will be your best route to go before the first game tips off.
RIVAL Fantasy Bingo Picks
De'Aaron Fox vs. Charlotte Hornets
De'Aaron Fox continues to be the beam for the Sacramento Kings and is holding the highest usage rate of his career with 32.3%. Now getting the Charlotte Hornets, Fox will be in a pace-up spot. The Sacramento Kings are averaging 104.2 possessions per game compared to the Hornets who average 102.2. On top of that, they are allowing opposing guards to average 23.4 points, 8.7 assists, and 6.1 rebounds per game.
De'Aaron Fox and the Kings have faced the Hornets recently and he was able to have a successful shooting night. Fox recorded 30 points, six assists, and five rebounds. He also added on one steal and block. With the Fantasy Bingo cards, they do place point guard field goal squares and Fox was able to take 25 shots with 11 makes while going three for ten from the three-point line.
Victor Wembanyama vs. Detroit Pistons
The rookie, Victor Wembanyama, continues to grow as the San Antonio Spurs continue to struggle. He's currently averaging a double-double with 19.3 points and 10.1 rebounds with 2.8 assists per game. He's also holding a usage rate of 30.2% so far. What makes him a key piece for Fantasy Bingo is that he racks up the blocks. He's averaging 3.3 per game but has recorded back-to-back games with five blocks. The only time he hasn't recorded a block is when he was inactive for a game.
With a matchup versus the Detroit Pistons, we can expect Wembanyama to record a double-double. They are currently allowing bigs to average 23.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. Both teams play at a fast pace with San Antonio sitting at 105.9 possessions per game and Detroit with 104.7 per game. Add that in for both teams and Victor Wembanyama is in an amazing spot.
Domantas Sabonis vs. Charlotte Hornets
You can't play De'Aaron Fox without Domantas Sabonis as he has been notching triple-doubles. Besides last night's game versus the Detroit Pistons, Sabonis recorded five straight triple-doubles. While his usage rate is nowhere near Fox's with 23.1% on the season, Sabonis can be found doing a little bit of everything. Plus, he's nicely padding the stats as Rival Fantasy adds some insane squares. Sabonis doesn't just record low double-digit stats. He has recorded 15 or more rebounds in three of his last six games while recording 17 and 19 assists in two games of his last six. He is making a huge impact on the Sacramento Kings offense.
Alperen Sengun vs. Chicago Bulls
Alperen Sengun is strictly a matchup-based play. While he isn't averaging a double-double exactly, he should record a double-double when facing the Chicago Bulls. He is averaging 21.5 points and nine rebounds on the season with five assists. With a pace-up boost, Houston is averaging 102.1 possessions per game compared to Chicago's 100.3, he should have even more success. The defense of Chicago versus opposing centers also adds a boost. They are currently allowing them to average 22.9 points, 15.5 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game.
As a center, Sengun should be able to help achieve some squares on the Bingo card due to the double-double upside. He also has attempted 15 or more field goals in nine of his last ten games. With the attempts and makes randomly making an appearance for centers, Alperen Sengun is a guy to lock in.
