ANALYSIS: Just over a week after a breakout performance in relief of Tony Pollard in a Week 10 victory over the New York Giants, Dowdle has picked up an ankle injury. He played through the issue in Week 11, but was noticeably inefficient against the Carolina Panthers, picking up just 20 yards on 10 touches.

With the Cowboys on a short week due to their Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Washington Commanders, Dowdle will have less time than normal to rehab his ankle. He was listed as a DNP on Dallas' estimated Monday practice report.
While Dowdle's fantasy outlook might not look as rosy as it did just over a week ago, he's still an elite handcuff for the underwhelming Pollard. Though his injury might prevent him from significantly cutting into Pollard's Week 12 workload, Dowdle should still be stashed on benches in all but the smallest of leagues.
