BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Leagues
ANALYSIS: Porcello's overall stat line is mediocre at best, but it's not indicative to how well he's pitched. In 15 of his 19 starts, he has allowed 4 earned runs or fewer. The other 4 starts were "blow-ups": 27 earned runs in 16 innings pitched. Excluding these disastrous outings, Porcello has displayed a high-level of effectiveness. He may never become a strikeout artist (81 K, 106 IP), but he offers plenty of upside by way of peripherals. In his last four starts combined, the 24-year-old Tiger has only given up 6 earned runs and 5 base on balls in 26 innings pitched (all quality starts). Can his latest hot-streak mostly be attributed to a "string" of favorable match-ups (@TAM, @CLE, CHW, @CHW), or has he turned a corner? Instead of waiting to find out, let the "cello" play!
