BALLER MOVE: Draft target ~ 170
CURRENT ADP: ~190 overall
ANALYSIS: Rich Hill has been somewhat of a conversation centerpiece lately. Originally, Hill was going to miss the first half of the season, but with the delay, we could be seeing a "full season" of Hill. The left-hander has essentially never been a bad pitcher. In any season where he pitches at least 100 innings, his worst ERA was 3.92. That’s amazing for a pitcher who is currently going at pick 446.
Of course, the big caveat here is Hill’s health. Who is to say he will stay healthy even if it is a shortened season? He could also very likely start out healthy and get bit by the injury bug again. While the injury concerns are valid, Hill pitches for one of the best teams in the league, which means he's liable to rack up some wins, and his ADP is so low that you won’t be risking much by taking him outside the top 300. Push Hill up your board in front of guys like Robbie Ray and Sean Manaea to get solid numbers while he's on the mound and potentially reap the benefits of a top-40 starting pitcher if he stays healthy.
