ANALYSIS: New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson has been one of the top fantasy running backs this season. The former Oklahoma star is the RB9, averaging 18.1 half-point PPR fantasy points. He has had at least 21 rushing attempts for 81 yards and a touchdown in both games this year.

Stevenson has been the focal point of New England’s offense, accounting for 70.8% of the backfield rushing attempts and 34.6% of the team’s offensive yards. Furthermore, his eight targets rank second on the team behind Hunter Henry (15).
The veteran running back is a borderline must-start player every week, given his early season success. However, Stevenson has an appealing matchup against the New York Jets on Thursday night. The Jets have surrendered 114.5 rushing yards and 21.8 fantasy points per game to running backs, giving up 4.5 yards per attempt.
Fantasy players can start Stevenson as a high-end RB2 with confidence in Week 3.
