ANALYSIS: Rhamondre Stevenson flashed some excellent big-play capability and versatility in his short college career with the Oklahoma Sooners, and he is starting to show similar flashes in the fast-developing New England Patriots offense. Before week five he had only been active for one contest (week one), totaling just 11 yards on one carry and one reception in a mere five offensive snaps (7%); but in the two games he has been active since then in weeks five and six, Stevenson has come alive to the tune of 16 carries for 46 yards and a touchdown, three receptions on three targets for 39 yards (all coming this past week), and 40 total offensive snaps marking a 26% increase from week one.
Damien Harris has dominated the backfield workload for the Pats, but surprisingly, Stevenson ranks second on the team with his 48 rushing yards. While veteran New England residents James White and Brandon Bolden have exceeded Stevenson's volume in the receiving department, they have each taken a step back in terms of both usage and offensive snaps over the past two weeks in favor of Stevenson during a stretch where rookie quarterback Mac Jones is looking increasingly comfortable. In deeper formats, Rhamondre Stevenson is a savvy option moving forward with plenty of room to grow.
