BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 43% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The Mets' closer, Edwin Diaz, was already battling inconsistency this season before it was announced that he had a shoulder injury and would be placed on the IL.
This should create an opportunity for Reed Garrett to slide into the closer role for the Mets during Diaz's absence. The other pitcher who might have had a chance to compete for the job would have been Jorge Lopez, who has closing experience, but the Mets cut him after he threw his glove into the stands and made some negative comments to reporters after a game last week.

Garrett has three saves this season and 44 strikeouts in 29 innings. His ERA sits at 3.10 and WHIP at 1.38, which aren't ideal numbers for a closer, however with saves in such demand in roto leagues, you can live with those ratios if it means locking up some saves in the process.
Garrett should be added in all formats. While the Mets are struggling, he should still have some opportunities to rack up saves and we still don't know how long Diaz will be out with his injury.
