It was a slow week for prospect call-ups, but two potential difference makers were called up to their major league squads. Both are widely available. Like 99% available. If you are in a very deep format or a dynasty league and are looking to add high-ceiling depth to your roster, keep these two players in mind.

MLB Prospect Updates & Recent Call-Ups - Week 24
C.J. Edwards (RP, CHC, Owned in 0% of fleaflicker leagues)
The Cubs have had quite a closer carousel this season with players like Hector Rondon, Pedro Strop, and Jason Motte. However, with Motte on the DL, there is a slight window of opportunity for highly touted relieving prospect C.J. Edwards to grab some late season holds. In his minor league career, Edwards has a 2.03 ERA, 1.019 WHIP, 11.4 K/9, and an amazing 0.1 HR/9. In 292 and one-third IP, he has allowed just three HR. In his debut with the Cubs, he pitched a scoreless inning and allowed one walk. Do watch out for those walks; he has 6.7 BB/9 on the season.
Peter O'Brien (C/1B, ARI, Owned in 1% of fleaflicker leagues)
Peter O'Brien is eligible at catcher and first base. He is also working on outfield eligibility much like fellow prospect catching Kyle Schwarber. With O'Brien's power, the Diamondbacks will look for any way to find him playing time. In the 2014 minor league season, O'Brien hit 34 HR, a .271 batting average, and a .910 OPS in just 399 AB. This year, he hit 26 HR with a .284 batting average and .883 OPS in 490 AB. The power is certainly developed.
Although it may be hard for him to find consistent time on the field for the remainder of September, O'Brien has game changing power and solid consistency with the bat. If you are looking for a late season, high upside flier who is also eligible at multiple positions, O'Brien is sure to go yard a few times in the coming weeks.
