BALLER MOVE: Start in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/Flex
ANALYSIS: Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud III should be viewed as a WR3 heading into his divisional tilt against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday evening.
Over the first three weeks of the season, the 27-year-old averaged three receptions and 37 yards. However, last week McCloud caught a season-high six receptions (off seven targets) for 52 yards. In this game, McCloud ran a season-high 31 routes.
Falcons receiving yard leaders, 2024:
1. Ray-Ray McCloud: 93
2. Bijan Robinson: 68
3. Darnell Mooney: 57
4. Drake London: 49
5. Kyle Pitts: 35pic.twitter.com/7OJnBwiqqG— Scott Spratt (@Scott_Spratt) September 17, 2024
Throughout the season, the Clemson product as been deployed as the No.3 wideout behind Drake London and Darnell Mooney but seeing him receive an increase in looks is a great sign going forward. However, given his current position on the depth chart, he could be hard to trust on a weekly basis but could see several spike weeks given how often he is on the field.
Facing a high-scoring Tampa Bay Buccaneers team, the Falcons may need to lean on their passing attack to keep up which makes McCloud a low-end WR3 on Thursday evening.
