ANALYSIS: Buffalo Bills running back Ray Davis hasn't had a fantasy-relevant role this season. He is the RB55 over the first four weeks, averaging 4.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The rookie is the third-highest-scoring running back on the Bills, averaging fewer fantasy points per game than James Cook (15.5) and Ty Johnson (5.7).
However, Davis has had some positive moments over the first month. He had a rushing touchdown in Week 3, scoring a career-high 8.8 fantasy points in the blowout win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Unfortunately, the rookie running back has limited fantasy value besides being Cook’s handcuff. Johnson would have a role if Cook missed significant time with an injury. However, Davis is the more capable runner, especially around the goal line.
Fantasy players in deeper leagues can add him off the waiver wire, hoping the rookie gets more work as the season progresses. However, Davis’ primary fantasy value comes from being Cook’s handcuff, meaning only fantasy players with Cook on their roster should prioritize adding the rookie off the waiver wire.
