BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~ 50th Overall
ADP: 65
ANALYSIS: Rice came on strong in the second half of his rookie season in 2023. He emerged as Patrick Mahomes clear WR1 and gave fantasy managers a shot in the arm. From Weeks 11-17, Rice finished as the overall PPR WR9.

His analytical profile was also quite strong. Per Fantasy Points Data Suite, Rice finished with an impressive 2.62 Yards Per Route Run (YPRR) and a 28% Targets Per Route Run (TPRR). These are two metrics that highly correlate to fantasy success and bode well for Rice’s outlook.
The Chiefs did add Marquise Brown and rookie Xavier Worthy to the wide receiver room. Both pose a threat for targets. However, both players were added as speed elements to try and blow the top off the defense. Neither one operates out of the same role that Rice excelled in as a rookie.
The elephant in the room regarding Rice has been a possible suspension stemming from an offield incident that resulted in an arrest. While many initially expected some immediate discipline from the league, it was reported recently that Rice may avoid discipline until his legal matter is resolved.
Clarity from @NFLprguy, on #Chiefs WR Rashee Rice: “We don’t anticipate he’ll be placed on commissioner’s exempt unless there is a material change in the case.”

This certainly changes Rice’s outlook. Likely, any punishment won’t be handed down until the 2025 season.
Aggressively target Rice starting in round 5 of drafts. He's a great Year 2 breakout candidate and can be a PPR cheat code.
