BALLER MOVE: Start in 10-Plus Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-end WR2
ANALYSIS: Kansas City Chiefs rookie wide receiver Rashee Rice has played well this season, but for much of the year his role in the Kansas City offense just wasn't where onlookers thought it should be. He wasn't getting the snaps and running the routes that his production suggested he should be running.
That appears to have changed now, as Rice has nine or more targets in three consecutive games. Last week against the Buffalo Bills, Rice was targeted 10 times, catching seven of those passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. It was the second time in the past three games that Rice has found the end zone.
This week, the Chiefs face a New England Patriots team that ranks right in the middle of the league in pass defense, allowing the 18th-most passing yards per game to opposing teams. It's not a great matchup for Rice, but his increased role over recent weeks means that he has the volume to be a low-end WR2 play. He's worth playing in all 10-team leagues, since he should see plenty of opportunities in Sunday's game.
