BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was an afterthought entering the year. Many had high hopes for Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney. Instead, the rookie has been Patrick Mahomes’ top wide receiver. The former SMU star is the WR37 for the season, averaging 9.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He has 44 receptions on 56 targets for 527 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
Rice is the second leading receiving on the team behind Travis Kelce. However, the rookie and the superstar tight end are tied with five receiving touchdowns this year. More importantly, he had his breakout performance in Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The talented rookie had eight receptions on 10 targets for 107 receiving yards, setting career highs in every category. He also had a 39-yard receiving score in the fourth quarter to help put the game away.
Unfortunately, Rice’s matchup in Week 13 isn’t fantasy-friendly. He faces a Green Bay Packers defense that has held wide receivers to 25.2 fantasy points per game, the 10th-fewest in the NFL. Yet, the rookie’s recent production makes him startable in all league sizes.
