ANALYSIS: Cleveland Browns wide receiver Rashard Higgins appears to be the most likely Browns receiver to benefit from the absence of Odell Beckham Jr. (ACL), who is out for the season after suffering an ACL tear in Week 7.
In the game where the Browns lost Beckham, Higgins went on to catch six passes for 110 yards. He struggled in the team's next game after that, but over the past two weeks, Higgins has shown some promising signs. He has caught six of his eight targets for 113 yards the past two weeks, during two games that were very low-scoring, heavily due to horrible weather conditions in Cleveland.
The Browns have a favorable schedule for fantasy purposes the rest of the year. They face the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have one of the league's worst pass defenses, in Week 12. After that, three of their next four games are against other beatable pass defenses: the Tennessee Titans, the New York Giants and the New York Jets.
The Browns are a run-heavy team, but they'll need to find some life in the passing game over the season's final stretch and if they do, it's likely going to involve a heavy dose of Higgins. Add Higgins in leagues of 14 teams or deeper if you're in need of receiver help down the stretch.
