ANALYSIS: It's safe to say this season hasn't gone according to plan for Raisel Iglesias and his fantasy owners. One of the buzziest names in baseball during draft season, Iglesias made only five starts before landing on the disabled list with a shoulder impingement. Since his return, the Reds have used him exclusively in the bullpen to protect his arm, and Iglesias seems to prefer it there. He's gone on record about his desire to close games. Given how he's performed in relief (0.87 ERA, higher fastball velocity) and the sorry state of the Cincinnati bullpen, it's not hard to imagine that he'll end up getting the ball in the ninth before the season ends. After all, the last time the Reds signed a Cuban pitcher and made him the closer, it worked out pretty well.
