BALLER MOVE: Consider In 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua will play in Week 18 despite the majority of the team's starters sitting. Nacua will be playing for one reason and that is to set rookie records. The BYU product needs just four receptions on Sunday to pass Jaylen Waddle for the most by a rookie with 105. He can also break the rookie record for receiving yards set by Bill Groman in 1960 with just 29 yards to get to 1,474 on the season.
So while Puka will be a focal point early in the game, there's a good chance he will reach those two milestones quickly and then be benched for the remainder of the contest against the San Francisco 49ers. With Matthew Stafford, Kyren Williams, and Cooper Kupp all resting up in Week 18, it's clear the Rams care more about staying healthy than winning. Nacua playing the full game would be a big surprise.
All that said, he's still worth consideration as a shaky flex in leagues of 12 teams or more. He's going to be force-fed early, so hopefully he can find the end zone before his day comes to an end. Week 18 fantasy football is unpredictable, so he's a dice roll in the final regular season game of his spectacular debut season.
