BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Rams rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua got off to a great start to his first NFL campaign, with three 100-yard receiving games in his first four NFL contests.
However, his numbers have dropped lately, with the former BYU product recording under 50 receiving yards in three of the past four games. Sandwiched in there was an eight-catch, 154-yard effort against the Steelers, though.
In Week 9, Nacua was targeted seven times in a 20-3 loss to the Packers. He caught three of those passes for 32 yards, his second-fewest yards of the season.
Things are looking up this week for the Rams offense though as Matthew Stafford should raise the ceiling of this team as he returns after a one-game absence. Also on the injury front, Nacua was limited at practice this week with a knee issue, but head coach Sean McVay has indicated that absence was more preventative than anything.
While Nacua has been trending down lately, he's never had fewer than seven targets in an NFL game. That high target floor means that he's always in play to have a strong showing. Fantasy managers should consider Puka Nacua to be a solid WR2 play this week, albeit one with a lower floor than we might have expected a few weeks back.
