Welcome to our PrizePicks PGA DFS prop picks for the TOUR Championship (Round 1). The Race for the FedEx Cup has reached its grand finale, and to celebrate, PrizePicks has an extensive selection of PGA props to take advantage of! PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or singular stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best and easiest-to-win PGA DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit of up to $100.
This week, we're at East Lake Golf Club for the 2023 TOUR Championship! With its staggered format and only 30 eligible players in the field, Eastlake has become a notoriously difficult venue to handicap in the betting market, but alternative markets such as PrizePicks prop board provide us with some much-needed normalcy in a week of unfamiliar territory. I and the entire Rotoballer PGA staff have put out 1,000s of words on the course, key stats, and field this week, so this article won't be focused on the minutiae of projecting outright winners or DFS pivot plays. Instead, I'll be solely focused on a few money-making opportunities I've found in PrizePicks' unique markets to help you build your bankroll as the PGA Tour season gets into full swing! Today's plays are specifically for round one on Thursday, August 24.

Tommy Fleetwood MORE than 15.5 Pars or Better
Unlike Olympia Fields last week, Eastlake's historical scoring average falls right in the middle of the pack in overall difficulty and last year saw Eastlake play under-par for the first time in the tournament's history. Only 5 holes at Eastlake carry a Bogey or Worse rate above 20%, and with very little in the way of true hazards (water, out of bounds, etc.), most of Eastlake's difficulty can be attributed to the narrowness of its fairways and its penal Bermuda rough.
These impediments will be of no trouble to Tommy Fleetwood, however, as the Englishman has been one of golf's most accurate drivers over the last two months (surpassed only by Collin Morikawa and Lucas Glover in this field). Fleetwood's deadly accuracy off the tee is supplemented by one of the PGA Tour's best short games (5th in SG: Around the Greens; 3rd in Scrambling %), and a run of iron play that has seen him gain strokes on Approach in six of his last seven starts.
This solid, all-around skillset makes Fleetwood one of the PGA Tour's best when it comes to avoiding big numbers (4th in Bogey Avoidance over the last three months). Although the seven-shot deficit he faces to start the Tour Championship will be difficult to overcome, I don't envision Fleetwood as a candidate to crater down the leaderboard in Atlanta.
Taylor Moore LESS than 11.5 Greens In Regulation
In direct contrast to Tommy Fleetwood, Taylor Moore has struggled in many of the main ball-striking categories we're honing in on this week. Over the last three months, Moore ranks as one of the bottom three players in this field in Total Driving, SG: APP, Fairway %, Good Drive %, and Greens in Regulation. His inability to consistently find fairways will be a huge hindrance when stepping up to hit tee shots into Eastlake's 25-yard wide landing areas, and the tricky Bermuda rough will wreak havoc on approach shots into expectedly much firmer greens than we saw in 2022.
Couple these long-term splits with the fact that Moore is coming off of his worst driving week of the season in Chicago (-8.6), as well as his third worst approach week (-3.6), and it doesn't appear the Arkansas product's game is in the best spot to impress on his TOUR Championship debut. It's been a breakout year for Moore, but with the way he's trending, Eastlake does not set up well for a fairy tale ending.
