Welcome to our PrizePicks PGA DFS prop picks for the Open Championship (Round 2). The golf season is in full swing, and PrizePicks has an extensive selection of props for us to take advantage of! PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or singular stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best and easiest-to-win PGA DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit of up to $100.
This week, we're at Royal Liverpool for the Open Championship! It is the final major of the season and the course impressed on day one, allowing no score lower than 66. The wind was fairly tame today and conditions were scoreable for the most part. The weather is expected to get tougher as the week goes on and it looks like we may be in for an all time Open Championship down the stretch. I and the entire Rotoballer PGA staff have put out 1,000s of words on the course, key stats, and field this week, so this article won't be focused on the minutiae of projecting outright winners or DFS pivot plays. Instead, I'll be solely focused on a few money-making opportunities I've found in PrizePicks' unique markets to help you build your bankroll as the PGA Tour season gets into full swing! Today's plays are specifically for round two on Friday, July 21st.

PrizePicks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day as other props may be added during the day.
Viktor Hovland LESS than 71.5 Strokes
Viktor Hovland shot a first round (-1) 70 this afternoon. Hovland started slow, shooting +2 through his first ten holes. He birdied three of his last eight holes to finish the day one-under and give himself some momentum heading to Friday. Hovland hit the ball well today finishing the day gaining 3.24 strokes total against the field, 5th in the field in that category. He gained strokes off the tee, on approach and around the green today, but putted poorly, finishing 100th in the field on the day.
Not only can the putter flip on a dime for Hovland, he also has the benefit of going out early tomorrow. The conditions will no doubt get tougher as the day goes on and the course begins to firm up. I believe the Norwegian can go out early and take advantage of the scorable conditions. He has some serious momentum with the way he closed his round today and I expect him to roll it into tomorrow with another good round to put himself into contention.
Collin Morikawa MORE Birdies or Better than Justin Thomas
This is more of a fade of Justin Thomas than anything else. Thomas shot his second consecutive major round in the 80s today and looks totally lost out there on the course. The moral is at an all time low for Justin Thomas, who already has a history of struggling at this event. With virtually no chance to make the weekend, I think he will be going through the motions more than anything else in tomorrow's round.
Collin Morikawa on the other hand is still alive. He is also a former champion at this event and a player who can get hot in a hurry. I think Morikawa will get it going tomorrow and make a push for the weekend. Morikawa is one of the best iron players in the field and I expect him to use that to his advantage tomorrow, even in more difficult conditions.

Brooks Koepka LESS than 71.5 Strokes
I expect the major king to continue to show up. Koepka started slow in round one, shooting two over par through his first 12 holes. However, similar to Hovland, he turned it on down the stretch and birdies three of his last seven holes to get to -1. Koepka said he was sloppy on the front 9 with his irons and was disappointed in the way he played.
A motivated Koepka who is still in the hunt, where have we seen this before? It sounds eerily similar to a disappointed Koepka after round one of the PGA Championship, a tournament he went onto win. We've seen this story too many times before if you let Brooks hang around in a major. I expect the five time major champion to pounce tomorrow and be on the first page of the leaderboard heading to the weekend.
Other Recommendations
- Rory McIlroy LESS than 71.0 Strokes
