Welcome to our PrizePicks PGA DFS prop picks for the FedEx St. Jude Championship (Round 2). The golf season is in full swing, and PrizePicks has an extensive selection of props for us to take advantage of! PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or singular stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best and easiest-to-win PGA DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit of up to $100.
This week, we're at TPC Southwind for the FedEx St. Jude Championship! We saw a wet course at TPC Southwind today as the Memphis area was hit heavily with rain. As a result, the players went out in threesomes and played preferred lies with lift, clean, and place. This made the course a little more attackable and players took advantage. 34 out of 70 players shot three under or better in round one. I and the entire Rotoballer PGA staff have put out 1,000s of words on the course, key stats, and field this week, so this article won't be focused on the minutiae of projecting outright winners or DFS pivot plays. Instead, I'll be solely focused on a few money-making opportunities I've found in PrizePicks' unique markets to help you build your bankroll as the PGA Tour season gets into full swing! Today's plays are specifically for round two on Friday, August 11.

Rory McIlroy LESS than 67.0 Strokes
Rory McIlroy started the day fairly slow, shooting +1 through his first five holes. In the final 13 holes, the Northern Irishman shot -4, making four birdies and an eagle in that stretch. McIlroy led the field of 7o in strokes gained off the tee in round one, gaining over two strokes. He was fairly pedestrian with his irons and let down big time by the short game. If McIlroy can turn the putter around (he was 50th out of 70 players in round one) and hit his irons a bit better, the opportunities are out there for him to go seriously low.
McIlroy has six career starts at TPC Southwind, half of which he finished inside the top 12. He had a disappointing missed cut here last season, but in his four starts prior went 12th, 47th, fourth, and seventh. While McIlroy hasn't been the best closer in major championships in the past decade, it's been a different story when it comes to the FedEx Cup. McIlroy has won the FedEx Cup three times since 2016 and seems to always turn up come playoff time.
Jordan Spieth LESS than 68.0 Strokes
Jordan Spieth sits up top of the leaderboard after carding a seven-under 63 in round one today. Spieth was pretty much fantastic in all facets of the game on Thursday. He ranked 18th in the field off the tee, 11th on approach, first around the green, and ninth in putting. All in all, there wasn't much to dissect and critique with Spieth's game. While I'm not sure he can quite duplicate this in round two, he won't have to. He can shoot four shots worse and still cash this prop.
Spieth has an interesting history at Southwind. In five starts, he has two missed cuts along with three top-30 finishes. For the sake of this argument, I'm going to toss out the Texan's first missed cut here as it was in 2010 when Spieth was under 20 years old. Two of Spieth's last four starts here were T12 finishes. Despite the missed cut last year, it seems he likes this course.

Jon Rahm MORE than 4.5 Birdies or Better
Jon Rahm was terrible today and he sits T65 on the leaderboard as a result. He ranked outside the top half of the field in every major statistical category and was bottom 10 in strokes gained off the tee, strokes gained tee to green, and strokes gained total. Despite all the negatives I just mentioned, Rahm walked away with three birdies. Do you mean to tell me Rahm played one of the worst rounds of his season and all we need tomorrow is two birdies better to hit this prop? Sign me up.
If there's one guy who loves coming back from the dead, it's Jon Rahm. I've learned to never count this guy out. He started the Masters two over par and went on to win. We saw him surge up the leaderboard over the weekend of the Open Championship last month to put some pressure on Brian Harman. This is a guy who time and time again seems to appear back on the front page of the leaderboard in the blink of an eye and leaves you wondering: how the heck did that just happen?
Other Recommendations
- Jon Rahm LESS than 67.5 Strokes
- Brian Harman MORE than 68.5 Strokes
