Welcome to our PrizePicks PGA DFS prop picks for the BMW Championship (Round 2). The golf season is in full swing, and PrizePicks has an extensive selection of props for us to take advantage of! PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or singular stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best and easiest-to-win PGA DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit of up to $100.
This week, we're at Olympia Fields for the BMW Championship! We saw a wet course at Olympia Fields today as the Chicago area was hit heavily with rain. As a result, the players played preferred lies with lift, clean, and place. This made the course a little more attackable than we saw back in 2020 when Jon Rahm won at -4. Today eight players shot -4 or better. I and the entire Rotoballer PGA staff have put out 1,000s of words on the course, key stats, and field this week, so this article won't be focused on the minutiae of projecting outright winners or DFS pivot plays. Instead, I'll be solely focused on a few money-making opportunities I've found in PrizePicks' unique markets to help you build your bankroll as the PGA Tour season gets into full swing! Today's plays are specifically for round two on Friday, August 18.
Single Stat PGA Totals - DFS Prop Picks
PrizePicks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day as other props may be added during the day.
Jordan Spieth LESS than 68.5 Strokes
Jordan Spieth started the tournament off with a (-2) 68. While on the surface this barely tops tomorrow's prop, the way Spieth did it was even more impressive. He finished the day second in strokes gained off the tee, tenth on approach, eighth around the green and 21st putting. Spieth did pretty much everything well and continued his hot play.
Today marks the tenth straight round that Jordan Spieth has shot under par in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. While Spieth hasn't won an event this season, he's come close a few times. Spieth won the 2015 FedEx Cup and looks primed to make another run at it this season. I look for Spieth to keep the foot on the gas tomorrow.
Sam Burns MORE than 69.5 Strokes
Sam Burns shot a (+1) 71 in round one. Burns has been struggling as of late and today didn't inspire much confidence. He currently sits T30 out of 50 players but his stats are a bit more concerning. Despite ranking fifth in the field in strokes gained off the tee, Burns was 47th on approach and 33rd around the green. If the irons stay cold, look for Burns to finish over par for a second consecutive day.
Sam Burns limped into this week with a 52nd place finish last week at the FedEx St. Jude. Burns has now lost strokes off the tee in his last four measured evets. With the rough and dampness of Olympia Fields, missing fairways is going to continue to be a huge penalty. I look for the LSU grad to continue to struggle as the week goes on.

Chris Kirk MORE than 69.5 Strokes
Chris Kirk shot an opening round (-4) 66. That said, I'm not entirely sold on Kirk's round. Over his past five events, Kirk has lost strokes on average off the tee, around the green and putting. Take into account the course will firm up as the week goes on, I think Kirk is a prime fade candidate in round two.
Other Recommendations
- Jon Rahm LESS than 68.0 Strokes
- Viktor Hovland LESS than 68.5 Strokes
