Welcome to our PrizePicks NBA DFS prop picks for Monday, May 1st, 2023. The 2022-2023 NBA season is rolling along, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of.
PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.

PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry, or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option.

Jayson Tatum OVER 14 Rebounds + Assists
To kick off today's slate, I'll be looking at Jayson Tatum's rebounds and assists prop. Tatum has exceeded this projection in four of his last five games, averaging 15.8 RA during that stretch.
The Boston Celtics will face the Philadelphia 76ers in game one of round two after overcoming the Atlanta Hawks. The Sixers' star center, Joel Embiid, is listed as doubtful with a knee injury, and if he sits out, Tatum should see a lot more rebounding opportunities.
The books like Tatum to go over 13.5 RA with -135 odds, giving us a pretty safe push option here with upside for the over. Tatum has been playing around 40 minutes a game in the playoffs this year, and he should definitely be productive enough to hit this number, especially if Embiid sits.
Jamal Murray OVER 24.5 Points
Next, I'll be looking at Jamal Murray's points prop. Murray has gone over this line in three of his last five games, averaging 29.2 points during that span.
Tonight the Denver Nuggets will be taking on the Pheonix Suns for game two of the series after winning the first at home. Murray absolutely torched the Suns in game one, finishing with 34 points in an outstanding performance. Murray also only played 37 minutes due to a blowout, and here in game two, I expect the Suns to keep things closer, which should drive Murray's minutes up slightly.
The books have Murray to go over 24.5 with -125 odds, while some books have him listed at 25.5 with even odds, giving us a one-point margin here. Murray has taken 20-plus field goal attempts in five out of his last six games, so the opportunity is definitely there.
Kevin Durant OVER 37 Points + Rebounds
To finish things off, I'll be taking a look at Kevin Durant's points + rebounds prop. Durant has exceeded this projection in three of his last five games, averaging 37.4 PR during that span.
After losing game one to the Nuggets, the Suns will look to come back aggressively to prevent going down 2-0. I expect Durant and Booker to really show up tonight, being the stars that they are to do everything they can to win. In a low 36 minutes, we saw Durant finish with 43 PR in game one, and I expect 40+ minutes tonight.
The books like Durant to go over 37.5 PR with -115 odds giving us a margin of half a point. Durant should put up a solid performance, play some heavy minutes coming off the game-one loss, and cover this easily.
Other Recommendations:
- Tobias Harris OVER 24.5 PR
- Jaylen Brown OVER 24.5 Points
- Chris Paul UNDER 11.5 1h pra
Overall recommendation for this play: FLEX
