PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Spencer Strider less than 9.0 strikeouts
Strider is certainly capable of striking out 10 Phillies, however, he has failed to strike out more than eight batters in any of his previous three starts and has not eclipsed nine in any of his previous four starts. The Phillies have been relatively decent against right-handers over the previous two weeks as well as noted by their 22.7% K rate (just outside the top half of the league) and their 101 wRC+ mark paired with a 9% walk rate.
Gerrit Cole less than 8.0 strikeouts
This is a tad risky as Cole is certainly capable of striking out nine Mariners, especially when you consider they have the sixth-highest K rate vs. righties over the previous two weeks with a rate of 26.5%. That being said, they have hit the ball to the tune of posting a 110 wRC+ and have posted a 12% walk rate over that same span. Cole has failed to eclipse this total in each of his previous three starts and has failed to do so in 10 of his previous 11 starts.
Johan Oviedo more than 5.0 strikeouts
Oviedo has reached or eclipsed this total in each of his previous six starts, including an eight-strikeout performance against these Cubs in his most recent start. The Cubs have posted a sub-100 wRC+ mark over the previous two weeks against right-handers and are posting a K rate in the bottom half of the league with a rate of 22.4%.
Nathan Eovaldi more than 6.0 strikeouts
Eovaldi has struck out six or more in four of his previous seven starts. The matchup tonight against the White Sox is a good one as they have posted the third-highest K rate vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks with a rate of 25.8%. They have also posted just a 6.9% walk rate and a lowly 83 wRC+ mark. This is a solid spot for Eovaldi tonight.
