PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Peyton Battenfield more than 4.5 strikeouts
Battenfield made his Major League two weeks ago against the Yankees and had his second start last week against the Tigers. He has looked good, allowing just two earned runs over 10 2/3 innings pitched while striking out eight. He has a soft matchup against the Rockies tonight as they are posting the 11th-highest K rate against righties over the previous two weeks with a rate of 24.7% and are pairing that with an abysmal 65 wRC+ mark.
Johan Oviedo more than 5.5 strikeouts
Oviedo has been solid recently and has managed to strike out 16 batters over his previous 13 innings pitched while eclipsing this total in two starts. Tonight, he will be up against the Dodgers, who have posted a surprising 25.2% K rate vs. righties over the previous two weeks, ranking them in the top 10 for highest K rate over that span. They are, however, posting a walk rate north of 10% and a wRC+ mark of 117 over this same span, so there is certainly risk with this one.
Luke Weaver more than 4.5 strikeouts
Luke Weaver struck out eight Pirates over six innings pitched while allowing four earned runs in his season debut last week. The strikeout total should not go unnoticed as the Pirates are a team that is only striking out 21% of the time against righties over the previous two weeks. Tonight, Weaver will be up against the Rangers, who are in a similar range by posting a K rate of 19.6% over the previous two weeks. Weaver is more than capable of achieving this number as he has been near a 10 K/9 guy for his career.
Brandon Nimmo more than 7.5 hitter fantasy score or 1.5 total bases
As I write this article, there is currently not a Brandon Nimmo play on the board, but he will likely come out with a 7.5 hitter fantasy score or a total bases play. Both of these would be solid tonight against Josiah Gray. Gray has allowed 32 home runs and a .246 BAA to lefties since 2021. Meanwhile, Nimmo has posted a 1.114 OPS with two home runs and 10 combined runs + RBI over the previous week.
