Welcome to our PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Thursday, October 12, 2023. The 2023 MLB postseason is underway here at RotoBaller, and we have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks.
PrizePicks is a great DFS fantasy picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play.
On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.
Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.
PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Ranger Suarez LESS than 3.5 strikeouts
This is the top prop on the PrizePicks Optimizer with a 54.33% chance of success. Saurez is going to be facing a tough Braves lineup that he just saw five days ago. In that game, he barely eclipsed this total with four strikeouts across 3 2/3 innings pitched. Given the magnitude of this game, it is likely he could be on a short leash again, perhaps even shorter.
Austin Riley MORE than 1.5 hits + runs + RBI
We had success with this play last night against Aaron Nola, so tonight we are going to look at Riley against left-hander, Ranger Suarez. On the season, Riley has posted a .941 OPS with 11 home runs against left-handed pitching. He is also 6-for-18 with a home run off of Ranger Suarez for his career and is certainly capable of success against the Phillies bullpen as he has proven multiple times in this series.
Kyle Schwarber MORE than 1.5 hitter strikeouts
Schwarber has not looked great this postseason as he is now 4-for-21 with eight strikeouts through five games. He has eclipsed this strikeout total in three of the five games he has played and it does not get much easier for him against Spencer Strider. For his career, Schwarber is 5-for-22 with 11 strikeouts vs. Strider, and oh yeah, he struck out against Strider in the fifth inning of Game 1.
