Welcome to our PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Thursday, July 20, 2023. The 2023 MLB season is underway here at RotoBaller, and we have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks.
PrizePicks is a great DFS fantasy picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.
Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.
PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Spencer Strider more than 8.5 strikeouts
Any time we can get Strider under 9.0 strikeouts on PrizePicks, it feels like a gift. He has struck out at least nine batters in five straight starts and in 14 total starts in 2023. His matchup is a bit tough, but Arizona is still posting a K rate vs. right-handers that ranks in the bottom half of the league over the previous three weeks with a rate of nearly 23%. They are also posting a sub-100 wRC+ mark vs. righties over that same span, and the fact that this is a day game is something I am always a fan of when it comes to strikeout potential.
Blake Snell more than 6.0 strikeouts
I am a little surprised to see this number so low on Snell as he has struck out at least seven batters in nine straight starts. Perhaps it is the matchup against the Blue Jays that has this number set below 7.5, however, Toronto is posting the 10th-highest K rate (24.2%) vs. Southpaws over the previous three weeks. They are also posting just a 76 wRC+ over this same span, which could certainly help Snell acquire some length in this one.
Tyler Glasnow less than 8.0 strikeouts
This could be a tad dicey as I always hate going against Glasnow at home, but here we are. He has struck out more than eight batters in just two starts this season. He also faced these Orioles back on JUne 20th and struck out seven batters in his 4 1/3 innings pitched while allowing six earned runs. The Orioles are still tough as they have the 10th-best K rate vs. right-handers over the previous three weeks with a rate of 20.2% while also posting a 105 wRC+ mark over that same span.
