PrizePicks MLB DFS Prop Picks - Today's Over/Under Props for Saturday, October 7, 2023

Spencer Strider fantasy baseball rankings waiver wire pickups draft sleepers starting pitchers

Welcome to our PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Saturday, October 7, 2023. The 2023 MLB postseason is underway here at RotoBaller, and we have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks.

PrizePicks is a great DFS fantasy picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play.

On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.

Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.

PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.

The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.

You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Ranger Suarez MORE than 3.5 strikeouts

Ranger Suarez has struck out at least four batters in nine of his previous 10 starts. He will be up against a Braves' lineup that has posted a 23.8% K rate vs. left-handers over the previous three weeks, which ranks in the bottom half of the league. They have also posted a sub-7% walk rate over that same span, which should help keep Suarez out of some trouble as he has walked at least two in each of his previous eight starts. Suarez also faced these Braves back on June 20 and struck out seven batters across six innings pitched while allowing just one earned run.

Spencer Strider MORE than 4.0 hits allowed

We are going to stay with the marquee game in this one as Strider has allowed at least four hits in six consecutive starts. He will be up against a Phillies' offense that has gotten at least four hits off of Strider in three of their four games against him this season. The Phillies have also posted a near-100 wRC+ mark over the previous three weeks against right-handers and have started the postseason hot, tying for the most runs scored in the Wild Card Round.

Clayton Kershaw LESS than 15.5 pitching outs

This seems like a bit of a lofty number for Clayton Kershaw in the postseason, and it is likely that 15 outs (five innings pitched) will be the goal here for him in this game. He has failed to go past five innings pitched in seven of his previous eight starts. He will also be up against a Diamondbacks' squad that has posted a 104 wRC+ mark vs. left-handers over the previous three weeks, which ranks in the top half of the league. The Diamondbacks have also posted a superb 15.5% K rate and 9% walk rate over that same span, so Kershaw is likely to find some trouble here.
