Welcome to our PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Saturday, August 26, 2023. The 2023 MLB season is underway here at RotoBaller, and we have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks. PrizePicks is a great DFS fantasy picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play.
On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.

PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Logan Gilbert less than 6.5 strikeouts
We are starting with a slightly dicey one here, but Logan Gilbert has only eclipsed this total in one of his previous eight starts. He did not eclipse it against these Royals two starts ago when he only managed to strike out five batters in 4 1/3 innings of work.
The Royals have been solid lately as they are posting the lowest K rate against right-handers over the previous three weeks at just 17.8%. They are also posting a solid wRC+ mark over this span with a mark of 115, which could get Gilbert into some trouble.
Zack Wheeler less than 7.0 strikeouts
Zack Wheeler has a tough matchup against the Cardinals tonight as they are posting the third-lowest K rate against right-handers over the previous three weeks with a rate of just 19.3%. They are also pairing this with a walk rate north of 10% and a wRC+ mark of 117, both of which could cause problems for Wheeler. It should also be noted that Wheeler has failed to reach eight strikeouts in seven of his previous nine starts.
JP Sears more than 4.5 strikeouts
JP Sears can be a tad scary to click; however, he has struck out at least five batters in five of his previous seven starts. He will be up against the White Sox, who are posting the fifth-highest K rate against left-handers over the previous three weeks with a rate of 26.9%. They are also posting an awful walk rate of just 3.8% over this same span, which should certainly help Sears as he has been known to give up a few walks from time to time.
James Paxton less than 5.5 strikeouts
James Paxton is certainly capable of striking out six batters, but he has struggled lately and has only managed to reach six strikeouts in two of his previous seven starts. The matchup is certainly tough against the Dodgers in this one as they have posted the third-lowest K rate vs. left-handers over the previous three weeks with a rate of just 16.4%. They are also posting a solid walk rate of 8.8% and a wRC+ mark of 126, so Paxton is likely to put some traffic on the bases. It would also be prudent to look at some of his other props that pop up throughout the day such as hits allowed and earned runs allowed.
