The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total. MLB DFS Prop Picks for 9/3/22
Jonathan Heasley over 3.5 strikeouts- This is not exactly where I thought I would start this morning, but the matchup and recent success are right for Heasley to get to four strikeouts today. Over the previous two weeks, the Tigers have posted the fourth-highest K rate vs. righties with a rate of 25.8%. Meanwhile, Heasley is fresh off a seven-strikeout performance against the Padres and has gone over this total in two of his previous three starts.
Edward Cabrera over 5.5 strikeouts - Cabrera has looked solid thus far in 2022 and has struck out six or more in four of his previous five starts. he will be facing the Braves, who have posted the fifth-highest K rate vs. righties over the previous two weeks with a rate of 25.7%. They also have not been obliterating the ball over that span as they have posted a mediocre 98 wRC+ mark, so Cabrera could get as deep as six innings in this one.
Luis Garcia over 5.5 strikeouts - Garcia will be facing the Angels, who have posted the third-highest K rate vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks with a rate of 26.4%. While Garcia has only hit this total in one of his previous three starts, he has faced the Angels twice this season and struck out seven in each of those two starts.
